Description

The Odenthal EZ-Set 8-Degree 4-Cycle Top Plate is the upper sliding section of a compatible EZ-Set motor mount assembly. Once installed on the correct EZ-Set base, it allows the engine position and chain tension to be adjusted without moving the base on the chassis.

The 8-degree angle helps position the clutch for alignment with the rear sprocket on compatible 4-cycle kart setups. The upper plate can accommodate properly configured inboard and outboard clutch installations.

This component is CNC-machined from billet aluminum and finished with black anodizing. This listing includes the 8-degree top plate only. The EZ-Set base plate and frame clamps are sold separately.

Compatible with the appropriate Odenthal EZ-Set standard base plate. Odenthal lists this top plate under Briggs, Honda, and Tillotson applications and specifically references the Briggs LO206.

Confirm the engine bolt pattern, clutch orientation, and EZ-Set base compatibility before installation. Kart frame-rail diameter and center spacing are determined by the separately purchased base and clamp configuration, not by the top plate alone.

This upper plate supports the engine and slides along a compatible EZ-Set base to adjust engine position and chain tension. It can be used as a replacement 8-degree top plate or combined with the correct base and clamps to assemble an EZ-Set motor mount system.
