A whiz nut is a flange nut, meaning the hex has a wider base built into it rather than a separate washer sitting underneath. This one is non-locking with a smooth back, so it threads on and off quickly during sprocket swaps and wheel changes.
Thread is 1/4-28 fine. Check your stud pitch before ordering, as 1/4-20 coarse studs will not accept it.
