Description
A double-ended stud that threads into the wheel hub on the short end and carries the wheel on the long end. The unthreaded shank in the middle locates the stud and gives the shoulder something to seat against.
Studs bend, gall, and strip. Curb strikes and over-torqued nuts are the usual culprits, so most racers keep spares on hand rather than pulling a hub at the track. Sold individually.
